door latch spring

i have a 1949 f1. i need the spring on the door latch. does anybody know were they can be found ? i have looked thru all my books but no luck. i found the broke spring in bottom of door. i know it goes on the handle back side and not the latch itself. thanks for any help.

on further review i found i was wrong, it does go on latch.

Do you have a picture of the spring that you need? I have a couple of spare doors and might be able to get the entire latch mechanism with the spring.

no i have no pic. it is the driver side latch. the latch works but without the spring . i dont even know if it can be replaced or need the whole latch.

Those springs pop up on Ebay now and then. These are an aftermarket repair spring that replaces the original. THese also fit the C**vy trucks of the same era. The aftermarket makers were very busy in the 50's and 60's with these types of parts.
