I have a 03 X 2WD and it did not level so well. The lift kit came with instructions on how after the lift the truck will sit level. When I came to pick it up I was not happy. The rear was raised 1 inch less than the front and it looked like it was higher in front although it measured almost the same from groung to center wheel well. I ended up adding a bigger block in back to make it look right. Now I think it looks level but the back is 1 1/4 inch higher in back when measured.

O.k. If you want this poll to mean anything please add a check box for the Edge mini-spring pack. This is a very good kit and easy to install. I have it on mine along with the Ford 4" blocks in the rear.

Edge mini-spring pack gives you how total lift? A leveling kit should be no more than 3"

Sweet ride Neil!! I too, am leaning toward the mini spring pack. Can you give any more info on that setup. I take it that when you say the Ford 4" block, you mean that you replaced the stock block to give you 2" lift in the rear?? Did the mini packs change the ride? Where did you buy from? Any info would be appriciated.

Thanks Lou. I purchased the mini-spring pack from Marty at TruckToys 888-PRO-TOYZ (776-8699) for $225. I highly recommend them. They gave me a few pointers over the phone when I had some questions. They did not change the ride. Much easier to install than a 2" RCD lift. They simply are small extra springs which are placed between the existing front springs and the axle. You are correct on the rear blocks. This set-up complimented the 285 tires nicely.

P.S. I need to get some new pics, the current ones were before these mods. This probably won't happen until Spring.

Neil, The rear Blocks you have are 4" correct? so you swaped out the old one's to get 2" total? Is this the kit http://www.donahoeracing.com/prod_de...hp?productID=9 also are the blocks listed on this page? http://www.superdutyheadquarters.com/drblocks.htm
Thanks. Fred

Yes, yes, yes, and no to your questions. They are 4" blocks replacing the 2" stock blocks. That is the correct link to the mini-spring pack. The Bilstein shocks are a separate option which I recommend doing with the mini-spring pack. Also cut an inch off the stock bump stop or get 2003 bump stops. I did the spring pack first then later added the Bilsteins. I purchased Ford F-250 4" blocks because they had the "ears" which would catch the rear bump stops in an overload/bottom out condition.

P.S. A friend installed the Jack-it kit and said it made a firmer ride. This makes sense because that kit uses long replacements springs as where the Edge kit uses short replacement springs.
