Black chunks out the exaust
I recenty Purchased a 66 F100 with a 352 the motor is rbt but the carb finnaly gave up the ghost. I replaced it with a Holley 500 cmf carb and it runs good, I recently took it to a dyno place to have the fuel mix checked and found I was running a 10-1 ratio with #71 jets. I lowered it to #69 jets and the truck runs much better , however in the morning when it starts and the mosture comes out of the exaust ( cold morning normal condinsation ) i knoticed Carbon clumps left on the ground by the exaust ( single system ) is it possabull that the muffler is so cloged from the engine running rich for so long ( the stock carb was running rich to ) that the inside is filled? And will it clear it's self or is it time for a new exaust system?

Yes, its entirely possible that the system is totally gunked up with carbon deposits. Over time, it should continue to break up. I cant guarantee that it will completely emtpy itself though. Have you put your hand to the tailpipe, to see if you are getting good pressure coming out?

Checked this morning Good pressure, Noticed still have dark tailpipe so i might still be running rich, I think i will have a dual system put in and then recheck the fuel air mix, Im 5 sizes below stock ( for Holley ) now so i may have a breathing problem.
