Watch out everybody, my house is surrounded by gobblins, big and small. they just keep coming. There must be thousands of them. I have found that giving them small morsels of candy seems to send them on their way.

If they end up taking over my house and doing "who knows what" to me and my family, I just wanted you to know that I have appreciated all the help I have gotten on this site. There are more coming up the walk now.

I am going to put some scary looking pumpkins out to see if that will keep them away. Wish me luck.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'


Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore -

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain

The little monsters keep ringing the doorbell here, and I'm tryin to finish a paper, and get my desk cleaned up. I hope they don't mess with the new mustang. *crosses fingers*

 

What ever happened to walking from house to house? Now all the parents do is sit in the car while the kids go door to door, Or even the kids will ride in the car. No wonder America is getting so fat.

Nobody ever comes here to trick or treat. The tradition is not to go past the fire hall, and we're two doors down. So we take candy to the parade and give it to the adults and cops and firemen and some kids, and whatever's left I get to eat. Eight bags of candy bars this year, got half of it left over...I made out!
