I have not tried Stanadyne, but I do use Howes Lubricator in winter, both for the lube and the antigel, and also a bit of Howes Meaner Power Kleaner in the warmer months to clean the fuel system up. Can't get bio additives up here in Canada yet, nor biodiesel anywhere except Toronto, and I live too far from there to fuel there, Ha!
Try the performance formula. It seems to be the best all around formulation. The link above will give you all the info you need. The other companies products are all good. This one just seems to cover all the bases.
Stanadyne Performance Formula is what I use in the winter. I order it off the Internet. http://www.dieselpage.com/add1.htm You can also get Fumoto Valves at that site.
I read that if you do not drive allot then you need to use a fuel stabilizer. I am currently burning a tank every 2-3weeks. Does the performance formula work as a stabilizer also?? If not what is good for a stabilizer?
Power Service- Walmart- Here in TX either white or grey is plenty of protection and stabilization and the choice is up to you depending on how much cetane boost you want.
Stanadyne is what the Field Service rep said to use.
I was also recommended to use stanadyne. Make sure you purchase stanadyne off of the net. I bought a bottle at a Ford dealer paid over $16 and I bought a case of 12 on the internet for less than $60 or for around $3 something a bottle.

Do you have a website? I havn't used any additive and I just turn 60K. Am I losing out on something? Should this be something that is a definate use for winter?

I would strongly recommend using an additivre a Ford diesel tech told me they can prove to be very benefical. Here is the website: http://www.dieselpage.com/add1.htm
I have a case of both of the Amsoil Products and one is a cetane booster which I used in my Duramax and are now using in my 05 F250. I think of it as preventative measures to avoid any problems later.
