Tire Size

I have a 1964 Ford F100. I was wondering what size tires i could fit on it. It currenly has 205's on the front and 28/9.50/15 Super swampers on the back or maybe they're 29's I'm not sure right now. The tires on the front are in bad need of replacing and I was wondering how big of a tire I could fit in the front w/o getting in there and measuring. I'm running 15" factory wheels and it's a two wheel drive. I appreciate any responses.

the Ford Bible says 31 x 10.5 is the "sweet spot" for F-100 tires. Larger than that affects performance, and too much larger will require a lift. Smaller eats up gas mileage.
