well its a superlift 6 inch. beat me to death, smooth ride is gone, and hard of the fuel mileage because it sits so high in the air, everytime my truck gets in a bind or articulates i hear pops. just too many negatives to have a "cool" truck. besides the fact that its hard to pull a trailer. tag along or gooseneck because its so high.

What year and model is yours ? I havent seen anyone post here about a 6 inch lift ruining the ride. Id like to find out why ?
i have a 6 inch lift on my 99.5 psd f250, it definitely rides rougher, the lift springs in the front are a lot stiffer than the original stock ones, although it does corner a little better when i am flyin around corners about 75 mph on the highway . But overall i don't mind the rough ride, and have to regrets

Its hard to pull a tag along after you lifted it? I havn't had any problems.
You could always just take your lift off of it and be done with it.
But you could also found out before hand that you were going to see a drop in milage, and also find that most will upgrade their shocks to bilstein or ranchos and trash the freebie shocks that come with the lift. That made mine much better.
And pops and such? That doesn't sound right. Was everything installed to the proper torque specs, then retightened following a break-in period? Are all the bushings good?

99 f250 4x4......well i bought the truck second hand i i have found a few things about the lift that i had to change. i have checked the torque on everything and it seems to be ok. as far as bushings go i know that they are a bit worn. i will need to pelace them in the future. if i could solve the ride issue and the popping sound i would leave it alone. any help would be appreciated

Well I have to leave it to the experts here, I dont take delivery of my rig till next week, so I admit to knowing nothing about it. Perhaps you could post the precise kit/parts/shocks that were installed, or did you buy it lifted ?

bluemoose: For the sake of debate only, in a later post you stated you purchased this truck this way. How could you gage the smooth ride is gone?
If you were going to pull a gooseneck, a lifted truck might not have been the best purchase. Pulling a tag-along should be no problem with a 6" lift! As 02powerstroker stated, take the lift off and have a "cool" truck again, or dig in and fix what you have now. There are plenty of members with lifted trucks that have had the same problems as you!
The advice on the shocks is the first place to begin, will make a world of difference!
Where is the popping noise coming from and when is it happening? I'm taken for granted larger tires were installed,(read your sig, 35" tires) was the speedo recalibrated to get a better picture of fuel mileage?
Let's make it right,
