Tach stoped working have to shift manually

94 F450 7.3L EOD4
The tach stoped working and OD light is on and now I have to shift it manually. I changed the tach sensor and nothing has changed. Also 2 days before this it would keep shifting up and down unless you keep the RPMs below 2000 then it would shift ok.
Any thoughts ? Thanks

Check the wiring going to the sensor, somewhere down the line the dash and tranny computer aren't getting the signal.

Thanks I'll check the wiring. Could this be a bad fuse or sensor? I also noticed when I shift manually it starts out in 2nd gear and goes to 3rd (no first or OD).
