i recently replaced my egr valve due to codes i was getting for too much and too little egr flow. now that the new valve is on i still get some chugging at certain rpm. i pulled vacuum hose off and drive it and it no longer chuggs but i occasionaly get code for insufficient flow. will it harm my engine if i keep driving like this. the only problem i get sometimes is a very very slight ping when accelerating if i am running cheap low octane gas. i see no engine overheating problems. and i notice no difference in gas mileage.
what size engine? what year? what is the mileage? I recently had the check engine light problem and the codes for EGR FLOW OUT OF RANGE on my 98 expy with 123000 miles on it, after many shops and mechanics I came here and found out that my egr ports were clogged I took it to my FORD DEALER they removed the throttle body and cleaned the ports total cost 259.00 including an oil change and it now runs like new again should have come here first would have saved major time and aggravation hope it helps you
