Banks vs. Predator

I now have 2800 miles on my 2005 truck ,last 500 of those miles were with predator in 65hp mode. The shifting has been ok, but seemed to want to hang in second gear. Today I had gauges ,exhaust and the banks 6 Gun installed. The banks shifts better and pulls way stronger in just the 3rd setting.I originally had this Banks set up on my 03' .I just heard so many good things about the predator , I just decided to try it out before I put the banks on.Tomorrow I will be sending the predator back!

Talking excellent!

Hey 2 cobras.... I asked someone else, but they hadn't gone over 100.. Does the Banks 6gun w spd loader remove speed limiter as well. I've all but decided 100% to go with the 6gun and speed loader. So, can ya mash it to the floor and hold it there for about 3 minutes and come back and tell me?? THANKS.

It doesn't remove the speed limiter .I raced a dudge cummins after I put a few miles on it and we were about even and he had a bigger turbo, injectors, stacked chips and a bunch more mods. You should have seen the look on his face. My truck is a 4x4 and his is not. We just went from a roll, would have liked to go from a stop but he didn't want to.

Has he tried the Predator on his truck?I had my Banks on my 03' before I bought my 2005 .My new truck seems alot faster. There is also a guy on here that goes by jasfaa and his truck pushed 410hp and 744lbs to the wheels with the banks six gun.

Seemed faster? I do not know but I can out run him with his truck running stock tires and I am running 35's. I loaded the 65 HP in his truck for a local pull (not stacked) and he waxed an identical truck with the 6-Gun in the 7000lb class. Now pulling a sled has many variables and his nor my truck have been tested at the wheel, but in the real world senario the Predator has done it job well.

I figured the Banks would be the same as the Predator in power but it has not done that for us. The 6-Gun is a fuel box where the predator mods the trans and engine.

Now do not take me wrong, just telling you what I know from here.

I'm considering a tuner/chip now & was researching the Power Edge. What do you guys think about that? I hear mixed info on Banks from great performance, to you're paying for the name. Any info you guys could share would help

I talked to Motorhaven about my truck not running as good w/the Predator and they told me some trucks like it and some don't.My truck seems to run better on the Banks. The Banks controls the trans also and detects slipping, protecting it.It also defuels the motor when the exhaust temp gets too high.I also noticed I have less lag off the line.To me it is a safer product for my truck.

Banks definately dumps more fuel, I had the Sensor F/I timing replaced on mine.
Part num 3C3Z 9F838EA.......This solved my problems. Most of the problems are more high tech so to say.....but it runs well at 100%
