As a Sox fan for 30 years, it is so incredible that it actually happened. All the crazy things that has happened to that club since 1918 and now to watch last night as the pig pile started in the center of busch stadium borders on fiction. This city will rock for a week. The New England Patriots have braught us two championships and for that we are ever proud. They are working on bringing us a thrid. But a World Series Title in Boston!!!!!!! My god I thought we would never see it. This city is Baseball upon baseball upon baseball. The Red Sox are the city of Boston. The Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots are wonderful and we are so proud and greateful to call the the hometown team, but this is the one we all wanted a WORLD SERIES TITLE and it is here. 86 years of smack and heartache....Take that George and all the little pinstripers everywhere. THIS YEAR BOSTON IS BEST!!!!!!
Not when they lose the first 4 games straight...........ouch. It is amazing that the Sox could be down 3 games, come back FROM THAT and grab the championship, then go on and win the series with ZERO EARNED RUNS against their pitchers. I'm not trying to rub salt in the wounds of any Cards fans, but Boston was absolutely AWESOME, and definitely deserved it. Congrats Boston!!
Congrats to the Red Sox..... and I say that as a life-long Yankees fan. Some of the greatest baseball I've ever seen, no doubt they deserved it. Should definetely make for a great storyline next year. Again, congrats and see ya next year.....
I am glad the sox won, they deserve it, but I there was a part of me that wanted to see St. Louis come back and win after they were down 3-0. Then there would be nobody that could doubt the curse.

Gotta admit, part of me was hoping for that too, but for the most part I just wanted the "curse" to end so I wouldn't have to hear about it anymore.
Congratulations to the Red Sox. That's coming from a life long Yankees fan. 45years. But, it's no big deal. I've got just one thing to say 26 World Championships!!
I love how the yankee fans bring up all the championships they won...i guess they love living in the past...yankees better shape up because its been a few years since they won a championship...and waht kind of franchise loses 4 in a row...im glad everything bite george in the keester...just shows money cant buy championships...it wont stop george from spending it this year either though...thats why baseball has really gone to shame and the yankees are the ones to blame...GO RED SOX...
Well, I don't want to start an argument with you, jhromy, but last time I checked, baseball was a business. The whole point is to win games and draw fans. Funny, the Yankees draw more fans on the road than most teams do at home. If George can afford to spend more on his team, it's because they generate more income, Read: more paying fans. SO, if FORD can afford to spend more on research and development than GM or Chrysler can, and they build a better truck because of it, are you going to hold that against them? What kind of team loses 4 in a row? All of them, eventually. All the Yanks did was a mega choke at at critical time. I doubt they'll lose any fans over it. Hats off to the Sox.
