need driveshaft help, may trade supercab for a swb chassis
hello, i have an 82 supercab that came with a 302 and a c6 tranny. my father inlaw has an 80 model swb reg. cab f100 without the motor or tranny. we may trade. i want to put an HO i built in the 80 truck with the c6. problem is i don't think the original driveshaft will fit. he said it used to be a manual tranny but he swapped it to a c4 and that is when i pulled the c4 tranny out of it. i don't want to use it because i am unaware of how it works. it had a 300 6 in it. anybody know what trucks came with a c6 in a swb f100 or 50. i will be swapping out the motor perches as well since i can't use the stock 300 perches. does anybody know if that driveshaft that is in it now will fit onto the c6 i am putting in the truck.

The drive-shaft fit will have to be determined after the said swap is done. You can try it, but no guarantees. I beleive the C4 used a shorter tailshaft housing than the C6 did, so you may have to get some custom drive-shaft work done to make it hook up. You'll also have to change the transmission mount position and possibly the crossmember as well.
