Ego maybe I can help? Alot of your cheaper Kits require balancing....You better kits with rings wrist pins, rods, crank and pistons usually balance them within 2 grams....Hope this helps...
Im trying to decide who to buy a 416 stroker kit from....And then I was thinking is it internally or external because its a 428 crank? I would like a good kit I was thinking Keith craft his is about 1800 dollars.
I bought mine through Flatlander Racing. Their service was pretty bad, so I can not reccomend them myself. My engine is internally balanced. It's a 428 block, but the crank is a SCAT 4.125" stroke crank, and it was balanced at the machine shop. I run the standard 390 felx-plate.

Well anything that comes out of KCs shop is top of the line if he has had his hands on it.....And you allways want to go Internally balanced any time you can afford it... That way your not limited to having too run the stock externally balanced Flywheel or flex plate and damper... You can run any after market one...because they all have a zero balance!!

Russ,
I think you're losing it in your old age. The damper is not externally balanced. All FE balancers are neutral. It's only the flywheel end of the motor that is affected.
