tires making funny noises

Once in awhile I get giddy, and halfway thru 2nd gear, I punch it and my 33's make these weird howling noises and some kind of smoke comes out of the back of the truck. What the heck is it?

I rented a 2004 F150 about 4 months ago or so and I thought I would see how much power that baby had. It was a Supercrew 4x4 truck. On dry pavement I could spin those tires NO PROBLEM! Before I returned the truck I had to poiwerwash out the wheel wells because there was rubber all inside them!

I havent tried spinning the tires but the day after my son got his new 2004 regular cab suddenly an unexplained tire peel out mark appeared in front of my house (actually two seperate marks as he has the standard differential). I figure it was either coincidence or perhaps alien beings laid down rubber when they landed in the street. Am i worried about it ? NOT.

So back on topic: Do i think his truck will spin the tires at full throttle from a dead stop? Pretty sure

Thanks to everyone who simply answered my question. Guess my truck's like most other 4.6's, so I have no problems to be worried about regarding the power/trans.
