LOL- My button switch above the key is for the washer, I have a toggle switch for the wipers (Merc460- I'd sure like to know more about that switchover you did) and I have 1 more "push" button under the dash for the horn. My steering column is so trashed. I need to repalce it as soon as I can find a fairly easy swap.
judi48 just do a search its a easy and very common swap I can't remember what year of ford I got the stuff from. But I am sure there are some very deatailed post out there
And mine (black button) is and has been the horn sinse the 1970s I allways thought
that the N.C. dot put it there. I guess not !I remember went my dad first got
the old state truck he would see someone on the way some were and wanted
to blow the horn , he would hit the cap in the center of the steering wheel
and no sound ,well then you would here the huge wad of keys swinging back
and forth banging the dash and then when the person had all ready passed
you would here the horn!
