72 Ignition Switch Wiring
The wires start to melt and burn so I don't believe this is correct. I have pulled the ignition switch and found the red and orange wires were combined leaving an unused post on the ignition switch. I believe the push button switch is in-correct and someone took the easy way out of replacing the ignition switch or tracking down a short. I need to know which posts the red and orange wires connect to or a copy of the wiring diagram. Can anyone help?
The start circuit is the S terminal.
The I terminal allows 12 volts to the coil for starting, then it is by-passed so a lower voltage going to the coil to run the ignition.
My orange wire goes to the S terminal
So you need the diagram for the Ignition switch or starter relay?
