Actually I was wondering if the trailer lights don't work properly because of this small glitch. (My purpose here is to get my trailer lights working properly).
When the trailer lights are hooked up they work except when I hit the brakes then they all go out.
I was told this is probably caused by a faulty ground but could the grouding problem be in the headlight switch and causing the trailer lights to screw up?
The lights set and the T-connection are all brand new and all the wires are connected properly including the white ground wire from the T-connectioin to the trailer plug and from the trailer plug to the trailer frame.
I couldn't find it, but I read awhile ago on this forum (or was it the Explorer forum, which I also use?) that someone had problems with their headlights. There was no mention of the radio, but their problem was in the trailer light connector harness. Seems there was a chafed wire against the frame.
You might want to check this also...check each wire in your trailer lights harness one at a time. Make sure you have continuity through all the wires and no shorts to ground.
