E-150 4.6 performance exhaust/headers?

Does anyone know what style headers will fit my 2000 E-150 van? Mustang, F-series, etc.? I will need to do an exhaust system soon, and would like to add some performance to it.

I posted this in the van section, but no real answers. One guy mentioned measuring Mustang headers, making a templet, and going from there. I was hoping maybe someone has done this already and knew?

Thanks

...an perfomance exhaust sytem? on your van? that's ghetto. Wouldnt spend money on headers for it if i were you, but some new pipes w/out muffler or smoething like that would probably be best i would think

AntiGrav118,

First...maybe....a performance exhaust system, not "an".

Second...who T F are you to say what I should do to my van? Ghetto, don't know, never been there. Are you an authority on the ghetto?

Third...why did you bother sending this? All I asked for is some info if a member knew? Didn't ask about "cat back systems", all ready know about those. Looking for some knowledge on the chasis of a van being similar to what vehicle, or none? Can you shed any light on this?

Thanks for the reply

Hi. I did some searching for you, but couldnt find headers for a 4.6. I will try some more searching later. But off the top of my head, and 4.6 header (and I know there is some out there) from a 'stang should fit. I would go with the shorties, given the cramped room in a van.

I dont know about you AntiGrav118, but its his vehicle, let him do whatever he wants with it. Leave your unhelpful comments out.

Ill let you know when ive found something for you.

MatthewC,

Thank you very much! I kinda figured the "shortys" would be a needed item. Would love to have full length ones, but whatever works.

I really like my van. Kept it real clean, put Am. Racing rims on, (solid faced, aluminum), and use it for my business, but its also my daily driver. Since it has the 4.6, I assumed there should be a lot of aftermarket stuff available. Hence the reason for the headers, via mustang.

I wanted to buy a 2004 E-350 diesel, with a Quigley 4X4 conversion, but at almost $40,000, its out of my price range! Hopefully business will be able to sustain this purchase, but I'll keep using the 150 until I either sell it or use it up.

Thanks again for the help!

An ***?!?

Did you read his post before leaving me this one?

If so, your quite far off from understanding me! All I asked for was some info! Not some assh*$es personal opinion!

Seems that other members understood my reaction. Don't know what your problem is, but I got none over here! Unless he's your buddy, keep your nose out of it!

I treat others like I get treated! I can be nice as pie, if treated so! Cross me, and I'll be nasty!

Notice that captain p4 quoted AntiGrav118 in his post. I believe he was referring to AnitGrav as an ***, not you.

If that is the case...I apologize!

Its strange, I've been on many sites, mostly Pontiac orientented, but in my short time here, twice this has happened. I really try not to step on anyones toes. Just a easy going guy, trying to get some info from "like minded" individuals.

Like I said before, if so, I apologize.

Was there ever a definitive answer as to fit?

I called BBK about their shorty headers and they were not sure about fitment, sounded like nobody had ever tried.

I am quite surprised there is not a bigger performance focus on these vans.
