1963 427 8v
My neighbor fired up his 1963 427 8-V for the first time yesterday with me as his witness that it runs. Seems his wife claimed it would never run again after he took it apart. How sweet it was. He is in the process of totally restoring the car, which he has owned since 1965. Frame and engine and drive train only so far with some NOS body parts still in their wrappers and boxes. Oh yeah, and cast iron headers that sound very good.

It's a top oiler as it is early '63(really late '62) in a Galaxie and it was red. He hasn't decided whether to stay red or go some other route. No mods to the motor because as he puts it" It was about all I could handle in my youth and is probaly over my head now."
