Dual Alternator Circuit
I'm looking for a wiring diagram of the dual alternator (Ford Option) circuit or of the complete truck, actually. I have a 2005 F350 PSD and there isn't any information in the manual. I'm kind of curious how Ford isolates the alternators if one fails.
I'm picking up my 3 car trailer in a week or so and want to make sure the on-board trailer battery (winch battery) does not draw from the truck battery, yet charges fully. I'm sure I will need some type of isolator or current limiter to eliminate the probability of smoking the 12v circuit in the trailer connection.

doesnt matter the batterys are tied together u can use a continous duty 350 am relay wired to the uplifter switch if u have one or just toggle it so its only connected when running the engine
that will ake sure the batts are charged and not tied to the truck when its parked
