'Auto' down for pass. window?

Why doesn't Ford offer the 'Auto' down switch for the pass. window, and just not the driver side?

Anyone know if the 'Auto' feature is in the switch, or in the computer & window control motor?

Anyone as lazy as me to not keep their finger depressed on the switch 2 seconds for it to come down?

I always thought that'd be a nice feature too. Glad I'm not the only 'lazy' one who has wanted it.

I think it would be freakin great to have an auto down for the other windows. But what I would want after that is an Auto up too!

You can buy these adapters after market for around $30 here is one place that sells them: WebElectric Products

Auto up are dangerous since they could be triggered with a head or a hand in the window. My Cadillac Catera has auto down on both front windows and I like the feature, I'll probably look at the after market unit sometime soon.

GM has it on their trucks!
Ford has it on basic cars in europe, seems to me it can't be that hard.

BMW's have it up and down, and on sunroofs open and close!

Ford is running slow on this, still not using the Lift to Raise switches, my Avalanche and our Cadillac both have those, though I do prefer the Ford switches. But the auto down feature is very nice. The sunroof on my F350 has an auto open.

I believe it's in 2006 that the law is being changed, causing Ford to change their swtiches. To many kids have leaned on the rocker and gotten injured.

I also prefer the rocker switches also and I hate the auto down button.
I'm glad it is only on the drivers window but wish it wasn't on any window.

My Infiniti G35 has auto up and down on all four windows. It's a nice option. Maybe Ford will look into this option one day.

It won't happen unless they get enough people asking for it. It's all about the bottom line. I have to say I would rather Ford put the money into better door locks before they make a different window switch. Those door locks are a pain to change out.

Yes I agree. My mom's benz had auto up/down for all 4 windows, plus the moonroof. Also it has a sensor in them as well. I.E. if it senced that something was in the way of the window while it was going up, it would automatically stop. Cool feature
