When we started getting in the low 40's in the morning I would see a lot of smoke until the engine warmed up a bit. I took my truck to the dealers and they said it showed no codes so they would need it left overnight to see what is happening. The dealer say's the PSI sensor is bad but showing no codes.
What is a PSI sensor and what does it do. Dealer only said it performed dual functions and one of them was causing the smoking on cold starts.
dual modes??? whatever. most of them have no clue.
give us a little more info. what year is the truck, how many miles, what color is the smoke, any mods, what do you have for exhaust. I.E.( cat, no cat). Mine has no cat and it really pours out the white smoke in the mornin till she warms up, but once it is warm, no smoke
Mine is a 2000 F250 6 speed stick, regular cab 4x4,stock exhaust,no cat, stock exhaust. Never smoked until last spring late in march. Smoke was white in color, how much and how long depends on how cold. Above about 45 degrees I get no smoke at all. Dealer did say that one of the functions this sensor has is to monitor the exhaust and signal the computer for fuel lean/rich condition.
