Procomp and American Eagle Wheels.

Was wondering if their is a difference between the procomp 1069 1079 series and eagle alloys 186 187 wheels. Was wondering if one is better than the other and if their is any point in going for the bead lock design over the normal?

I would highly suggest staying away from Procomp ANYTHING. All of their products are notoriously crappy.

I've never really heard anything negative about PROCOMP (until now)...the only real difference between the beadlock design and normal is just your preference. It is a "simulated" beadlock design and really serves no functional purpose except looks. I went with the sim beadlock design (eagle alloys) ...I felt that the normal design was a little too plain. Good luck!

pro comp

I had procomp AT tires and wheels on my superduty for the four years I owned the truck and I liked them alot. 40,000+ miles and still pleanty of meat left. 315/75/16 on 10inch wheels that truck was overloaded all the time and I never had a problem.

If Procomp lift was so bad then FORD dealerships wouldn't have them on there lots, but they do. Why, because they have good qualtiy.

Glad you think so. Obviously I am new to FTE (been here since '99. Don't believe my join date), and Fords, and I am sure in my time here I have never heard more bad stories about Procomp products than all others combined. Oh, I am sure I have also never had personal issues with the products too. Oh, one more thing, why would dealers have to give a fourth tire away? In my experience, quality products do not need to be discounted as drastically as Procomp does to their products. Quality sells without gimicks. You might want to do some searching of the FTE archives of the "flawless" quality of this brand. Look, if you want to trust you and your families life on a cheap product, go right ahead. I wont blink an eye. I have seen the quality of their products, and I will never purchase their brand ever again. Thanks for the jab though.

What are your real plans for this truck? There are many kits available from many different manufacturers. To be honest, I dont know whats available for the new F-series, but I do have a track record with certain manufacturers over the years. You should head on over to the Suspension forum, further down the forums page. I would imagine that some of the guys there have the new F-series with lifts.

Are we talking the 2004/2005 lift kits for the 2004/2005 F150? The price is no different between the 6inch FABTECH or PROCOMP. Your opinion is contrary to what other 2004/2005 owners are stating about the lifts. In fact both are good 6 inch lifts, depending on your needs. Now if you go to i.e. Offroadware House, they would steer you away PROCOMP and want you to get FABTECH. If you go to 4wheelparts,they will steer you to PROCOMP and not FABTECH. You go to the Ford Dealerships they all prefer PROCOMP because they claim suspension stays pretty much the same as stock.

I have done my research and I did not mean to jab.

this might be a guess but 4 wheels parts probably recommends procrap, excuse me, procomp because they own the damn company.
