I got the afe stage II a couple of weeks ago, I like it so far....but it was $400 I think the power gains would be more noticible with other peformance adders... I'm waiting to get an exhaust and chip...
I was talking to a shop that is going to dyno my truck Wed. He said he has owned a psd before and tried several air filter combinations with only a 2-3 h.p. gain max. I really think the napa filter set up that kwikkordead has shown us is the way to go. One of the aftermarket air filter set ups out there is claiming something like 50 h.p. gain. This is just crazy!!
You really won't see any H.P. gain with a cold air intake or an exhaust system. You're pretty much letting the truck "breathe" better, and preparing it for other mods to increase efficientcey

Yea I don't know where these companies get their HP claims - but Domino is right. You will probably notice a little seat-of-the-pants pick up with an intake and exhaust, but there is NO way you can gain a 100HP with just that!
I have a Ford AIS intake. In most cases, I would say that almost anything is better than your stock airbox and filter. They're known to leak. I'm very happy with mine and the reason I bought the AIS intake is because it is a Ford product and won't void any warranties.
