i love music. any kind of music. except rap. right now i'm jammin' to "sweet home alabama" my wife married me knowing i like music. why now after 20 yrs. does she get upset when i "jam" to my favorites with the headphones on mind ya, after a crummie week of work and hunniedoes, which have been completed??
You really don't want my advice. But if she is going to complain about the headphones then don't use them withen one day she will be begging for the headphones back.
Listen to your headphones just as loud as you like next time she complains just pull the plug out and let the speakers do the talkin. Yea you'll get in a little spat that night but she shouldn't complain after that.

Easy answer: When she dated you, she thought you were cool (you were young). The quickest way to lose your cool is to become a husband and father (get older). Most wives think their husbands are dorks. The woman don't get away with it, without suffering their own crisis, because teenagers think both parents are dorks (lol).
I have the same problem with my wife. I played guitar in several hard rock bands in the '80's and '90's. I was still playing fairly seriously when we started dating. She use to love it, now she constantly complains about me playing too loud (lol). Oh well........
