302 Block Information

302 Block Information
I have a '84 F-150 with a 302 that I am in the process of getting back on the road. I need to find a replacement block for mine and didn't know which year models will interchange with mine. Will later model roller cam blocks work? Is there any difference in deck heights? Thanks in advance for any help.

All the 302 blocks are pretty much the same externally. The dimensions are all the same and so are the deck heights. The only differences would be things like EFI and roller cam blocks, etc. ITs all pretty much internal differences. The blocks are all the same.

Thanks for the information. I was just curious if you had to do anything special since the '85 and up block had the taller lifter bosses for the roller lifters in those motors. I just need to know if I could install a stock replacement hydraulic cam in a block intended for a roller cam. Again, thanks for the help.
