Fuse Block

Hello and good morning.

I have a 87 F150 5.0L E4OD 2WD XLT Lariat Standard Cab.

The "ears" broke off of my fuse block where the screws install.

There is a member who has the fuse block with the entire loom and the ends all have connectors.

Is this a plug and play per say? I do not want to "get over my head". The donor truck is a plain model whereas mine is "fully loaded".

Have any of you installed a full loom and fuse block?

Please advise.

Thank you!

Boon

The donor truck's fuse box will not be fully loaded since it's a plain model. But I believe(never done it myself) that you can take just the fuse box, and load the extra wires from your loom into it. That also means you probably do not want to use the donor loom, it will not have enough wires for the extra stuff that your truck has.

I believe if you have a small set of picks and or screwdrivers. you can undo the wires from the back of the broken fuse box and put them in the new fuse box.

Hello and thank you for replying.

I see your point. How are the wires secured into the fuse box?

If I understand I need to get a fuse box cut and remove the wires and then install my wires into the box. Is this correct?

Take care and thank you!
