Not that it would matter much, but what about cab/bed configurations?
Eitherway my greenbacks go with your truck.

Is it the 4.0 liter V6 or the 3.sl0w? If he has the 4.0 I'd wager on the Ranger.

I believe you may have a bit more H.P. than he does.
(I think these are right)

3.0L V6 140 H.P.
4.0L V6 160 H.P.

Don't know about yours.

Frost, the 3.0 turns something like 145, and the 4.0 will turn 202.

If it's the 3.0, he has no chance. If it's the 4.0, I bet he would win. Then, you hook up an 8k trailer to both..........

It took alot of digging, but I think I found it:

163 HP

To see for yourself, go to this link and run a search on "351"

https://www.the-direct-source.com/in...Ford-Truck.php

But, yours puts out a whole lot more torque than he could ever hope to put out of his V6!

i looked through that page and i think the 351 they are talking about is the 351m. they call the windsor: 5.8l . so i have between 163 and 210 hp.

You're geared right for a win. His weight is right for a win. Run him on an 1/8 mile track and he's all yours. Probably be a toss up in the quarter. Drop the tail gate. That'll get you some weight off and cut down on drag. Remove air filter for less air resistance and catch a good light!

You've got him by the *****, unless he is a professional with that manual tranny. He'll be burning the clutch, missing shifts, and losing traction.

If he wins, just take a chain and drag his truck around the parking lot... just kidding...
