Tire pressure

93 F250, I just bought new BFG commercials and am not sure what the tire psi should be. They are load range E and I tow about 2000lb daily.

What load range tires were on your vehicle OE. If they were load range E use what was on the door. If other than load range E I would start at 50 -55 and go from there.

I have the same tires on my truck. When towing I inflate them a little more than for normal driving. For towing only 2000 lbs I'd start with the rear at about 65-70. You don't need to inflate them to 80 unless you are towing or hauling something much more substantial than that. The front should be fine at 55. I'd start there and see how it rides.

Agree with johndiesel. For towing that little weight, you don't need to pump them up that much. If all the weight were in the bed I'd say more toward the high end of what's on the side of the tire.

When towing my 10000 lb trailer and run mine at 75 rear 65 front. When not towing I run 55 to 60 front and 55 rear. I have the PSD so the front is carrying a bit more weight than if I had the V10.

The reason that I add some more pressure to the front when towing is that I have a weight distributing hitch so I'm placing more load on the front tires in addition to the added load on the rear axle.
