I've a pair of red wing http://redwingshoes.com/ waterproof loggers (#2292) and they're the best boot I've owned. Check wesco for custom boots with almost every imaginable option http://www.westcoastshoe.com/wesco/ Make sure the sole is correct for the conditions.
I like these boots right here These guys make some great stuff. Of all the hiking boots I've used, these guys made the best I've had, still have. These snow boats ought to make you comfortably, dry, and still standing.
If you still want a nice pair of military boots try these out. They'll leave your feet and blisters frozen, your butt broken, and your feet dry.
go to the work clothes store. in canada i go to marks' work wear house. they have boots and coats for any kind of weather. i got my boots there for 25$. that was three years ago and i work on the snow all winter
With winter boots I think you've got two choices....If you're going to be running around actually doing work, Chippewa's all the way. But if all you have to do is keep your feet really, really, really warm...Sorel, no quesiton about it! They're big, theyre bulky and they're like a sauna on your feet, even when -30F rolls around. Ive also got a pair of insole insulators that I bought at the local workwear store. You trim them to fit inside your boot and they give you a little extra insulation from the cold ground.
