oil presh prob
I have a 1990 e150 with a 302 in it. I just put in new lifters and pushrods becuase i had several sticking lifters. we also changed the oil pump becuase of low oil presure. I check the main and rod berings and they where well within spec. when i started the moter it started makeing a valvue taping noise but from the middle of the engine. afterr it runns for about 3 min the oil presh starts to jump up and down. ( I have two gauges one oem and one mechanical) and then about 30 sec latter the mech gauge drops to 0 and then the oem drops to 0 about 45 sec latter when this happens you can here the moter get louder so it is obvously loosing presh. the motor has about 89,000 miles on it. any ideas also when turning the motor over by hand there is a tight spot where it takes two people to turn the motor past it. this is present with or without plugs in and also with or with out the valve train conected. please help

Sounds like either a bad gasket on the oil pump, bad oil pump, bad oil, or bad cam bearings. If it was my truck I would have gone ahead and replace the mains while I had the motor out, it's better safe than sorry.
