I have the Antivir virus scanner installed on my computer, and just a few minutes ago, when I came online, it picked up 3 trojan viruses...
Mcaffee didn't catch them, although I think that this is due to the computer still in a stage of startup, maybe.
Anybody else have Antivir? I really like it, plus there are updates put up almost daily...
1.Go down and click on free edition and sign up.
2.Make sure you use a valid E-mail address b/c they will send you the link to download.
3.Then after you download it successfully they will send you the serial # through E-mail.
4.Then you can install
Free updates daily.
The best you can get.

EDIT: Also, after install, schedule an automatic computer scan daily.
Had AVG then we were convinced to go to F-Secure by a friend of ours. Did the free trial and then when that expired we signed up for a year. We've had good luck with it.
Norton is a rip off... Why pay for something that should be free, It also still suffers from the same problems that it had years ago... The developers at norton fail to protect the directories it's installed to, and then a virus attaches itself to the norton runtime, and presto norton won't work........Then you have you download uninstall programs, after shutting down norton, and scanning with a different virus scan tool.......
I have AntiVir, also known as Luke Filewalker. It has picked up bugs that Norton and MacAfee both missed. I bought MacAfee, uninstalled it after I downloaded AntiVir. -TD
I just ran a check on My Computer, with Antivir, aka Luke Filewalker, out of 15,000 plus files, 17 were trojans, of some sort, dear old McAffe never sounded off on a one of 'em...
