1997 Ranger Auto Locking Hubs

1997 Ranger Auto Locking Hubs
I have a 97 Ranger Supercab, 4.0L, with 67K on it. Recently, the front hubs started making noise when disengaging. Every thing I have read states they are a high maintenance item. My question is should I attempt to service the hubs or replace them. If replacement is the answer, can I buy them aftermarket, or are they DIO. The only hubs I can find are Warn manual conversion kits. Thanks in advance for any advice. This is a great website and forum.
