Has anyone had this done to correct a Low Flow EGR code? I have replacecd the EGR valve, the EGR pressure regulator and the DPFE sensor. I still have the low flow code which the dealer is saying is most likely the PCM and that it can be reprogrammed. Just sounds wild that that the PCM would loose the programming..... I would hate to pay the 100-200 dealer rate to check the PCM only to find out that its dead. Autozone sells thte PCM for $127.00, dealer wants $350.00. I really want to do the right thing here by giving in and going to the dealer but who wants to pay tripple for the same fix.
Any suggestions???
Additinal information just came in....
After reading a ton of postings, I must add that when I did the EGR valve the ports were VERY clean. Some of the posts I have read say they saw the same thing, but..., when they pulled the throtle body off the ports on the inside were clogged...sound familiar? I will give it a go, anything would be better than a dealer bill.
