Exhaust

hey, im lookin for some exhaust to put on my truck i have a 1999 F-250 7.3L Powerstroke and im not sure what i want to put on it. I want and exhaust with a deep tone so it sounds like a semi. I dont want stacks though, they wouldnt look good with the color of the truck, I jus want something good.

Yea, straight pipes and a big honking tip. They even make a Dudge sound good.

I recently straight piped my 02' PSD and I couldn't be more happy with the sound and performance. I also did the Kwikk filter mod to go along with it. It might just be my imagination because it sounds so awesome but, I think I picked up a little power!!

when you guys remove your muffler, do put flanges in so you go back to the muffler if needed or do you just add a length of 3.5 " pipe with clamps. I see that the muffler sits down by the rear axle angled up. Could be a little tricky. Also how much louder is it inside the truck,

Straight pipe that thing!!!! Its the only way, man it sounds so awesome stragiht piped, not as loud as you might think though. It kinda sounds like a big V8 on sterioids, without the racket.

Got it from Simpson tool. As far as how loud it is in the cab( windows up

), you won't notice a difference at all. If you are cruising about 80mph with everything off in the cab you will barely hear a very mild low tone.

I cut mine off a foot after the cab and bought a 3.5" turn down piece with a clamp. Man what a differance it made towing!! With the windows up I cant hear it untill I get to 2500 rpms, and then its not all that loud, untill you roll the window down. Also sounds like a semi with the turbo just howling out the exhaust. Tymar intake is going on this weekend. I wander how loud the turbo will be then??
