Cold Air Intake
The metal part went to the engine, don't know what it did but I took it off, the only thing I have connected to the airbox is what looks to be some sort of vacuum line, and it goes under the engine I believe, and the tubing to the TB.
The sensor in the airbox measures the air temperature, when it's cold the sensor open and vacuum flows to the valve down by the frame rail which divers the intake air flow from the normal air intake to the area by the exhaust manifold. This stops icing in the throttle body during cold weather. No reason to disconnect it but if you do plug the vacuum line at the engine.
so the sensor wont mind getting a crazy reading, the vacuum hose will just have a vacuum on it but be plugged. How should I plug it if I install a cold air intake from a 95 neon?
Given the place it ends up I figure it will get plenty of heat and I live in Mobile, Alabama.
