Any time. I took the truck down to the park for a few photos, what I liked about the clear ones is they don't stand out during the day, they just go sort of invisible. F350 Page Top left photo shows what I am talking about.
You should have purchased them from ebay. Better pricing, and better quality. A buddy of mune purchased his from Directauto, and they leak badly. Just my 2 cents.. Good luck..
Already did a water test, no problem with them that I could tell, made a good seal when I did the install. As for pricing, lowest eBay price was 38.00 plus 7.95 shipping, total of 45.95 assuming you win the bid. Most were higher than what I paid. I might have saved 2.00 bucks but then again I might not have.
Don't know about clear lenses. You can buy the original Ford OEM amber at Cabelas for around $30.00. I put my own on a few months ago, took maybe an hour. Also put the three reds on under the tailgate, bought those at Wallyworld for like $7.00. That took all of 5 minutes.
Did these lights from cabela's come wiht the right wiring harness? where does it plug in? I just ordered it and like to know how easy it is to tie in with the electrical system?
thanx
Yeah, I like the amber lenses on the top. I think clear lenses on top and on the corners look ghetto. If you are going with clear lenses, you must also get spinners and curb feelers. IMHO.
Yes, I agree! I don't think the clear lenses will be that visible during daylight hours!! On or OFF.

Yes, comes with the harness. Ties in/plugs in to the OEM plug for the clearance lights behind the right (passenger side) kick panel. VERY easy to do. If you need help, IM me, or email me from my profile.
Thanx hang 10. i will certainly do that. Im gonna need a shot of wiskey before i drill that first hole. lol.
Did you use a knock out tool for the centre holes?
Nope. Just a drill bit. I didn't see where a knockout was necessary. Cleaned the hole with a round file. As I asid, it was really easy. I was a little nervous too but once I got the center light on and saw how easy it was, I was okay with it.
I got my lights, wire harness and templet from fordparts.com for $64.92 shipped to my house and these are genuine ford parts, No after market stuff.. I have considered the clear lenses, still undecided though. Hopefully i will have enough nerve this weekend to cut holes in My roof and install them ,, Will let ya'll know how it goes...

I missed this post, You have a beautiful truck man, What lights did you use on the rear? I like em

DOes it seem like the the grey plastic/rubber where the wires come out of on the bottom of the light is portruding? did you just smush it to the roof top?
Id also like to see a pic of the are that you guys call kickper panel.
I am from the netherlands and am not yet completely fluent in car talk. lol
was wondering if the wireing harness is above the headliner on the new trucks. also why does the temp guage on the trans go to mid range before the engine temp even starts to move

The wire harness will be an extra part that plugs in just to the outside of the E-Brake.
I'll assume you are taking about an automatic transmission. They heat up quickly because they are full of friction. Anytime you are stopped, the transmission turns all of the power supplied by engine into heat.
