A buddy of mine just added Clear Cab Roof Lights(Clearance Lights) to his 04 F150. It looks great. If you want to save money and get the latest craze, then go to Ebay and purchase them. Simply type in Clear Cab Roof Lights. I purchased mine there, as well as a friend of mine. They actually have every type of application. Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. The 94-98 Dodge pc would look great on your truck. Let us know how you make out..
I wanted to order them on my truck but the wife said no way - too Redneck for her.
But hey I grew up in Nebraska so what did she expect?
I've pointed them out since then on trucks towing travel trailers and toy haulers like ours and how it really improves visibility and maybe there are lights at the end of the tunnel one of these days
I'll have to check out these after market critters.
A friend of mine works for the ford dealer here in town. He puts them on all the time. The kit from ford costs about a $125 he thought. The kit includes the lights, lenes, and the harness. He said it also comes with a pattern that you lay out across the roof of the truck so you know where to drill the holes. He said the hardest part is removing the headliner. I plan on doing it to my 04 SD. I love that big truck look with the lights on at night.
I had the dealer install mine before delivery and they did a fine job.
I even installed the 3 running lights under the tailgate. The holes are already there so I tapped into the trailer wiring.
Next is an led strip under the doors. I just need to figure out how to wire them so I can use an led flasher or just turn them on. Part time I use the truck as a rescue vehicle at a race track, "the more flash the better to see you with" they say.
Some guys like the look of amber lenses, some like clear, to each his own. Personally, I have the amber lenses and am happy with them. By law, anything facing the rear of the vehicle has to be red, unless it's a turn signal.....
Yeah, I like the amber lenses on the top. I think clear lenses on top and on the corners look ghetto. If you are going with clear lenses, you must also get spinners and curb feelers. IMHO.
