Has anyone replaced their carpets? My 95' is a PSD diesel cargo with vinyl floor and want to buy a complete carpet set, passenger and cargo areas. For the past two years, I've had some HomeDepot carpet in the van and I'd like something better.
I checked the local Ford stealer, passenger molded section isn't available...no longer made, cargo is available, but price is way high...like $450.
For aftermarket, seems there are only two manufacturers: ACC/Dorset located somewhere in the Southeast (sold by many local interior shops and mail-order businesses like 1aauto.com and autotrimsupply.com) and Nifty Products in Midwest (sold by JCWhitney, Cabellas, SummitRacing and others).
Anyone have experience with how they fit or thoughts on quality?
I bought some carpet from JCWhitney for my 86 F150, the fit was good, but overall the carpet was pretty thin and the insulation on the backing was minimal. Not bad for the price though.
I'd be interested in what you find. The carpet on my 91 E-150 is getting pretty bad.
I found a mail-order shop (www.autoupholsterykit.com) near Las Vegas. Price for complete 92-99 extended van carpet is $236 plus shipping. They seem pretty good and I'm going to order in a week or two. I'll post the outcome after the carpets are installed.
BTW: If anybody has dealt with these guys, please let me know?
