Cig Lighter

I have 2000 ex , I want to replace the cigarette lighter receptacle on the front below the cup holders, somehow I have the problem of unscrewing the nut that holds the receptacle and also I am not able to disconnect the connector to the receptacle. Anyone has done this before? Do I need a special tool to unscrew the nut from the recep? If I use the cigarette lighter it blows the fuse. Thanks for any input.

Really old post, but having problems with that receptacle but it slides right out. Were you able to find a replacement?

More often the problem is keeping the receptacle in the dash. A well placed hose clamp will do the job.
