This is a really old catalog made by the Simonds Saw company, but I am having a little trouble dating this specific one. Most I have seen are from the mid-20's but this one doesn't look like them at all. Has anybody here dealt with these kinds of things?
It's a small book, 64 pages, about twice the size of a business card, with a red cardstock cover. The front says Simonds Guide, then the Simonds logo, then "For carpenters" in script underneath. None that I have seen so far have the Simonds logo on them.
I'd just contact your local antiques dealer who specializes in old printed material (there's a word for it...euphemia or something like that)...chances are they will know or have the resources to look it up.
I just went and emailed them again, I did before and got nothing back.
There is a guy in Port Angeles who has a couple of these, but they are newer, from 25 and 26.
No numbers, the copyright page is missing unfortunately, but it was also a free little handout you got from the hardware store you bought your saw from. I can't imagine very many of these might have survived.
