Does anyone know where I can get the plastic hinges for the supercab side windows for the 74-79 supercabs. I'm swapping windows in, and the ones I bought had broken ones. I bought new frames for the windows and the little plastic hinges that fit into the slots on the body were not included. Any ideas. I don't think *** or Dennis Carpenter have them. Anyone seen them??? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I don't think. My dad had a 75 Ford Club Wagon and the hinged side windows had a long metal strip that screwed to the window opening. Thanks anyways. Harry
I think your only options are to find a Ford part number for the hinges and check the dealers and internet for left over stock, or watch e-bay for another set of windows to come up for sell hopefully with good hinges. I have a set but I didn't think to look closely at the hinges.
EDIT:
I can't tell in the picture but there may be some better hinges here.
I have a Good friend thats a Parts manager At a Rather large Ford dealership. He Run a search for me about 10 years ago and There was none out there. Hes the kinda guy that If there is any out there he will find them and he didnt.
Ok I am picking up my supercab Saturday and I found the opening windows in the junkyard. How do you get them out without damage? Will they swap right in for the non openers? What is involved in the swap?
Bwahaha! Too funny. I'd thought about putting them in my truck but I don't think I'd ever use them since I really don't have people riding in the back much. It would rank right up there with the TV's I had installed in my new seats or the rear sliding window I never use.
