i own a '79 f150 w/a 460 c6 combo. the moron who owned it before me put a 2bbl motorcraft, i'm thinkin a 2100 on it with a few adapters and such. my problem is, i have carbon wrapping around my exhaust pipes!
Can anyone tell me what i can do to stop this? its wasting my gas pretty quickly too
It's probably too small of a carb, and drawing in lots of extra fuel while starving the engine for air. I would recommend a good vacuum-secondary 4BBL. These can offer good fuel mileage if you can keep your foot out of it.
