wildlife warning system

My wife just bought me a wildlife warning system to stick on my truck and her van to prevent collisions with deer and such and was wondering if anyone has one of these gizmos on their bumpers and if they realy work. I had a near miss a while back with two deer and it was scary..thanks to my ABS brakes

I use them
I mounted four of them on my brushguard
I mounted them backwards,to get the deer to come to me!
I love venison!

Mine have worked (Unless their deaf) because the warning device is designed to make the Deer Freeze in their tracks & that's just what they'll do,.......one of these days these deer are going walk all over you....dum dum...dum dum

here in northern michigan, we put new ones on every few years, along with the new bumper, right after the deer run out in front of us.

Another thing I hate is,swerving off the road at 60mph only to find out it was a lawn ornament!

If the lights, horn honking, and tires screeching don't seem to exite deer enough to step out of the way, I doubt a bumper whistle will.

They are great for letting the deer know where you are.

My dad hit a deer and a month later installed the deer alerts and 1 week later a deer hit the side of the car in the same stretch of road!

They worked great!

Hey, it's your money. A TV show investigated them a year or so ago, and most of them don't work at all (that is to say they do not produce any ultrasonic, supersonic, hydrophonic, goobertonic, or any other detectable, measureable noise). And the ones that did make a noise had no perceptable effect on the deer. Further, when the frequency they are supposed to produce is played out in the deer woods, the deer do not respond to it.
