My wife just bought me a wildlife warning system to stick on my truck and her van to prevent collisions with deer and such and was wondering if anyone has one of these gizmos on their bumpers and if they realy work. I had a near miss a while back with two deer and it was scary..thanks to my ABS brakes
i got me a 16 point yesterday, with the truck we were going down a back road and a buck a fawn and doe came across well the bucks head kinda went into my dads brush gaurd and got decapitated and got ran over by another car, amazingly the meat was still edible
Thanks criss_ce at least some one has tried them and do work for them and thanks for puting out the old post for me to look it up..im just a little leary thats all . i dont want to hit one as my sister-inlaw hit a big buck last year with her friends truck and smashed the front end so bad it had to go into the junk yard but she was just shaken up without a scratch thank goodness. but i all most took out two deer at the same time and i dont know what would happen to me in the middle of no where so yes if these can help thats good news. its rutting season so wish me luck. thanks again
Mine have worked (Unless their deaf) because the warning device is designed to make the Deer Freeze in their tracks & that's just what they'll do,.......one of these days these deer are going walk all over you....dum dum...dum dum

If the lights, horn honking, and tires screeching don't seem to exite deer enough to step out of the way, I doubt a bumper whistle will.
Hey, it's your money. A TV show investigated them a year or so ago, and most of them don't work at all (that is to say they do not produce any ultrasonic, supersonic, hydrophonic, goobertonic, or any other detectable, measureable noise). And the ones that did make a noise had no perceptable effect on the deer. Further, when the frequency they are supposed to produce is played out in the deer woods, the deer do not respond to it.
