I have 6 brand new mmatts 15's here right now. They are not the type of sub you put in your girl friends car these are really loud. Ill sell them to you for 200 for a pair plus shipping which is like 40 bucks. Pm me if you want them.
There brand new I can take a pic if anyone is interested to show you they are factory sealed. I also have pics of a opened one to show anyone if they like.
Hey, I may be interested in some. I'd like pics too please. Could you tell me what their RMS is? Whats their cone made of? And all the other specs too.... Let me know.
But, in the meantime, can someone explain ohms too me? I notice amps do certain RMS at certain ohms. Is 4 ohms better quality than 2 ohms or what? Also, do you need to match ohms on your sub to your amp?
This too me, sounds like a nice amp, let me know if it is not. But, I notice it is not fan cooled. I'd hate for a 150 bucks to be wasted just b/c it got a little hot. Or do they not over heat that easy?
Now, if that amp is any good, would a sub that handles 500 watts RMS at 4 ohms be the ideal sub? If so, I found a rockford fosgate that fits the bill for a decent price also.
Oh, and I got the link to work. 750 watts rms thats nice. Whats the cone made of? How much would you sell just one shipped to 66720? We arent to terribly far away only one border between us. LMK. Thanks.
The 750 is peak i think rms is 500. The cone is made out of the pastic material not the crappy paper. I personally rather sell the pair so i can get rid of all of them because i have some one buying the other 4 monday. The surrounds are made out of rubber not foam. These subs are verry high quality. Alot of people use them for comps. I personally dont like sony products but every one has a opinion. The subs are rated at 4 ohms so if you used that amp it will be running about 500 watts. I tell you this you will not be dissapoined if you bought them. I had a guy buy 8 of them from me he liked them so much. Look at the feed back he loved them. When you buy a new sub you want to run it at 30% power the first day or 2 to break them in so you dont fry them but thats with any new subs
I'm just a little curious... Are you for sure the RMS is 500 watts? B/c out of all the subs I have seen with a peak as low as 750, their RMS would be 150 to 300. LMK if thats for cetain.
BigBody, When you ask for recommendations on a forum such as this, you get a lot of input from people who act like they know their stuff and they've heard all these brand names in action, etc., when in fact, they're full of it. One example on this thread is one guy offering all kinds of dos and don'ts and then admitting he has never heard of Focal speakers. Are you kidding me? Anyone with so much knowhow would have a least HEARD of Focal and Diamond. They are two of the top names on the market. And then later HE asks what some good amp brands are. Why is this guy dishing out advice? Who knows? My suggestion is to go to a shop and listen, listen, listen. Take some of your music and put the equipment through the paces. And then get what fits all your needs and wants. Don't feel like there is some magic to picking out audio equipment, because there isn't. Just good sense, good planning, and then good installation. Remember, you can buy pretty nice equipment, do a crappy installation, and it will sound crappy. If you are wanting an amp just for sub use, go with a mono that is designed for that purpose. Be sure to buy sub/subs that can be wired in the proper configuration for whichever amp you buy. Some names that come to mind that seem to be what you might want are MTX, Rockford Fosgate, Autotek, Hifonics, Soundstream, Kicker, JBL. There are many others.
