Hey everyone. i am thinking of buying a 1984 Ford F100 and i was going to ask if 1500 is a good deal on this truck. It needs new shocks ,has some rust and it has some dents in the body. It has an inline 6 for an engine. not sure but i think its a 302.

If the truck runs well enough, and isn't too rusted/dented up then $1500 might get you what you want. Over-all it depends on how well its holding together etc.
The inline under the hood is a 300, one of fords most dependable and long lasting engines. It won't take you very fast in stock trim, but it will most definately get you there.
Also, before you buy it, bring a mechanic along, or a good knowledgible friend and have them look the truck over for you to make sure there isn't anything worse wrong with it than what meets the eye.
hey guys thanx i really need someone to steer me in the correct directions.
I know one thing it shakes but i think thats because of the tie rods and berings. Prices?

Cameren... I would check the year and model of that truck. 1983 was the last year of the F100.
83 and 84 parts are the same, in fact, most 80-86 parts will interchange, check the inside edge of the front tires. that shaking is most likely bad ball joints.
