What kind of adjustments do you mean ? I used a cordoba clip, worked fine, I have read with the volare clip that you may need to shorten the center link.
And Welcome to FTE you will find it very helpfull
Good Luck

EDSF100 , Peerhaps you would get more information if you were to be a bit more specific. What needs adjusting?? What pump are you using?? What pulleys?? What is different about your install?? What type of hose did you use??? What is the truck doing or not doing??? The forum is loaded with help, do a search and step up to the pump. Good luck and welcome.
my volare clip works fine on my 57 f100. i don't understand the question either the pwr steering is a little strong, meaning the wheel turns VERY easily. but thats ok for me. i don't do much road racing in it anyway. cheers.
Seems stiff turning the wheel at idle. Chevy pump and pully. There seems to be an adjustment nut on top of the power steering unit.
Thanks for the comments

Ed,
That doesn't sound right. If what I understand is true, the Chevy pump puts out more pressure than the Chrysler and, if anything, the turning should be too easy not too stiff. I went with the Chrysler power steering pump just for that reason. I don't know about any adjustment nut. It seems to me that someone on here was running a Chevy pump (might have been 'fenders) and could turn the steering wheel with one finger. Could there be some binding somewhere else like in the steering linkage, pitman arm, or center link?
BTW, NICE TRUCK! I like the chrome running boards...

The pump is not at full pressure while at idle, so.... if you have too wide of a tire, or a steering part is worn , or the F/E needs greasing, or have too small of a crank pulley, or too large of a pump pulley could all cause this symptom.
I would not adjust the box unless you are aware of the way it is done and understand WHAT it is for. Why are you steering at idle??? Something is not right as the chev pump puts out more than the volare pump. I put a Chrysler pump on my engine. See gallery.
Without seeing it, my guess is the pump is signing off. I am running a Ford pump and a new Volare box which does easily steer with one finger. Most Ford pumps have a couple hundred PSI more than needed. I did try to research Chevy pumps. Almost all the GM pumps had even more than Ford. Specs were hard to come by, so don't hold me to this but I recall pressure reading ranges something this.
Chrylser 900-1000
Ford 1000-1200
GM 1100-1300
This was 70-80s data and I looked in a dozen manuals at the library for what little I found.
