I Loved it in my Bronco. After a week I coulden't stand FM (too many comercials). I don't have it in the current truck though... but that's due to lack of money.
I have the Delphi Skyfi in my '04 Screw and my wife has the Roady 2 in her '04 New Beetle. Both are FM modulated, and they really sound pretty good. I installed mine in the center console (Lariat) and bought a Pro-fit mount for the Beetle. I would recommend to someone who doesn't want to go through the hassle of replacing the head unit, or likes the factory unit.
I've had mine since March. I drive an average of 700 miles a week. Three weeks ago my first Roady had a failure (where speaker plug in goes - weak design) and for the week it took to get another off E-bay I was in misery. The only time I go back to free radio is for Bob & Tom during my morning commute. And they have so many ads that I keep coming back to XM.
I had been using the FM modulator, but I'm now hard wiried into truck radio with PSI and 12v to 6v power supply. I travel the East coast and the modulator just gets too much interference from local stations. I never listen to music, so can't comment on sound quality, as long as I can hear talk radio and NASCAR.
MyRadioStore sells a PIE (not PSI - my mistake) adaptor to connect to the factory HU. Worked on my '04 #815 unit with 6 disc, but doesn't work on all 6 disc models. Gives it another band (like CD, but called DJ) that is accessed through the CD button. About $70 plus freight. You need the 20 pin and 16 pin sockets on the back of the HU.
I had the Delphi Skyfi in my Tacoma, but when I sold the truck, I sold the radio with it. There was never any music I knew on. I personally didnt like it aside from the comedy channels. I was paying $10/month for something I didnt even use. Plus, the plug ins on the radio were cheap and would cause the radio to shut off. I personally will stick to channels and cd's for now.
