Hey 99PSDCREW hows it going. I did my glowplugs last week and it wasn't to bad. Took me about 4 hours. First thing to to is disconect the batteries!! I made sure the + cables never touched the ground. On the drivers side remove the rubber intake hose from the box all the way to the turbo. There is a green line into this hose it will pull out. I used a plastic bag and an elastic band to cover the turbo holes so nothing could fall in!! After that remove the aluminum turbo tube. After that the rocker cover is easily removed. I unplugged the harness from the rocker cover to be safe. Use a 10 mm deep socket to remove glow plugs. It can be tricky to get the socket out after removing the glow plug. You may have to reinstall it a bit to get the socket off. Than needle nose pliers can be used to remove it the rest of the way. I used a piece of full line to thread the new plugs in. Than you torque them to 19Nm or 14lb/ft according to ALLDATA directions. The rocker cover bolts are torqued to 11Nm or 98in/lb. Than just reverse what you did to disasemble to reinstall all other parts. On the passenger side remove the aluminum turbo tube. I than removed the 3 nuts attaching the map sensor and laid it over the engine. Hose to it is hard to remove. I than pulled my heater hoses back and hooked them on the studs for the map sensor. Removel is basically the same now except for 2 things. 1 there is 2 rockercover bolts under th ac box that are tricky to get at. A stubby wrench and a long reach you can get them from up top or you can reach them through the fender well.Easier with tire removed. 2 you have to wiggle the rockercover around a bit to get it out but it will come. Than installation of plugs is the same. I used needle nose pliers to remove and replace the plug leads. They say there can be high voltage in the plug wire but with hareness unplug you have no probs. Than just reverse what you did to put it all back together. If you are mechanically inclined and have worked on cars before you should have no probs. By the way ALLTRADE is computer software mechanics use to get info. on cars. My buddie printed the directions off for but i only used them for the torque specs. Who needs directions HA HA! Oh ya when you remove the rubber intake hose remove the 2 screws from the crankcase vent on top of the rc and it will come out with the hose. I found this out after i was done! I really hope this helps, my fingers are ready to fall off. Good luck!!
