To get the most accurate results, it would help to know a few things, if possible.
1) What's the compression ratio (static), or, what pistons are you using?
2) Which particular heads do you have (casting #s), and, do you know the chamber size?
3) What's the part # of the Comp Cams grind (sounds like a Dual Energy hydraulic, but it helps to be sure)
4) What size headers?
Mike, I've built a half a dozen 429-460 combos, vary simular to yours. I've ran a 1968 429 for probably 10 years on pump gas, the heads were even milled .040". Never had a problem with pump gas. I couldn't tell you horsepower but one of my trucks 77 f250 highboy 35" tires 4.10 gears 4-speed will beat the new gm 5.3 liter V-8's rated @ 300 Hp. Let me know if you need any ideas for power.
